Picture Book Manuscript Critique

Detailed critique with feedback on story structure, beats, suggestions for reducing word count, and marketability.
I might make comments on glaring grammatical errors or typos but this is not a copy edit.

Detailed critique with feedback on story structure, plot, beats, and marketability.

Synopsis Critique Add-On

Add a synopsis critique to any longer manuscript critique.
Detailed comments on plot, pacing, beats, and marketability. I will also comment on any questions the synopsis raises and whether they seem to be answered by the end of the synopsis.
Consultation
Consultation services are available via a virtual meeting (zoom, google meet, skype, etc.) and may also include an email component depending on the service selected.

Picture Book Manuscript Pre-Publication Consultation

We meet for a 40 minute virtual meeting where we talk about your manuscript and your vision then work together as I draft an Adobe InDesign file to paginate your manuscript.
Please note, you will not have a formatted picture book ready for publication by the end of this meeting. This consultation is best done prior to illustrations and is useful for finding issues in story or pagination prior to commissioning illustrations.
Formatting
Formatting Picture Books and Short Chapter Books with Illustrations for Print
Starting at $200
I will format your manuscript with your illustrations in InDesign and provide you with files that are ready to be uploaded to Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, and/or Draft2Digital.
Please contact me for a quote. Price varies depending on length of manuscript, number of illustrations, and other factors. You (or your illustrator) must provide the finished illustrations for this service.
I will also provide you with a file that can be used to upload your book as an E-Book to Amazon. Please note this file will only work on Amazon and at this time I do not provide EPubs for use on other E-Book distributors.
This does not include cover design or formatting. If you have an image for your cover then we can discuss cover formatting separately from the manuscript formatting. I can do cover formatting for paperback or hardcover books for an additional fee.
